About the role
The Continuous Improvement Manager (CIM) is responsible for establishing an operating environment that embraces the continuous improvement process. The role involves leading facility efforts in quality through management of all quality systems, facilitating the plant safety committee and initiatives, and supporting safety initiatives such as safety audits, incident investigations, and safety orientation for new hires.
Responsibilities
- Work with supervisors and operating teams to understand and improve manufacturing and quality systems, emphasizing the use of manufacturing reliability tools.
- Provide support by leading the plant safety team and actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of customer-specific quality testing, expectations, and requirements.
- Monitor and track incidents and credits system status and reporting.
- Support the New Item process, customer audits, and communication.
- Actively engage in internal auditing processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2 - 4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a corrugated or converting environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing, implementing, and managing high-performance work systems and teams.
- Knowledge of and compliance with local and corporate policies.
Skills
- Understanding of OHSA/EPA regulations.

Pay
Pay rate ranges from $101,000 to $134,600, with variable pay opportunities for financial awards. Participation in IP's annual incentive plan is possible.

This position is full-time and located at the Manitowoc Box Plant at 2000 S. 18th Street, Manitowoc, WI 54220.
