Reporting to the SVP of Global Client Services, this role oversees junior team members and serves as the senior point of contact for Downtown Music Publishing’s client base, including songwriters, estates, publishers, and catalog owners.
Responsibilities
- Supervise junior team members handling day-to-day client communication on publishing administration matters (Licensing, Royalties, Copyright, Income Tracking).
- Serve as the senior point of contact for Downtown’s client base, ensuring successful onboarding of new agreements and cultivating meaningful relationships with existing clients.
- Oversee quarterly royalty distribution processes, from payment information outreach to statement deliveries.
- Organize and manage department data resources, including Airtable, Curve, and Salesforce.
- Handle all administrative client correspondence in a professional and timely manner.
- Act as an internal advocate for Downtown clients and collaborate across departments.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in a client-facing role within the music industry, preferably in music publishing administration.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, CRM programs (e.g., Salesforce), and project-management tools (e.g., Airtable, Curve, Music Maestro).
- Prior experience managing staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Very strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail, self-motivation, and an inquisitive mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make judgment calls.
