About the role

The Natural Resources Group is a global team with bankers around the world. The group has a significant presence with offices in New York, Houston, Toronto, Calgary, London, Hong Kong and Buenos Aires, among others. The analyst role will focus specifically on Energy banking in Houston.

Responsibilities

• Create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives.
• Organize and prepare presentations, which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals.
• Participate and conduct due diligence sessions, a necessary component of financial transactions.
• Maintain client communication and help Goldman Sachs structure client transactions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Investment banking internship experience required, with experience in financial modeling, preparing and maintaining industry/company presentations, benchmarking materials, and other process documents.
• Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail.
• Capacity to interact and build relationships with a wide range of people and act as a point of contact.
