Global Account Manager, Healthcare and Life Sciences

Our team focuses on engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives, and influencers at all levels across the Life Sciences segment and around the world to support a digitally-enhanced, data-driven healthcare.
About the role
As a Global Account Manager, you will grow the AWS footprint by building and maintaining relationships, advising customers on AWS cloud solutions, growing AWS usage across a defined set of customers, developing innovative programs, and expanding platform adoption to new business units. You will work with prospects, customers, partners, and internal teams to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas.
This strategic role involves building relationships with key IT and business unit executives and other stakeholders within large Life Science customers to generate demand for AWS services through both AWS-led and AWS Partner solutions. You will lead and support sales pursuits, advise customers on cloud solutions, and drive platform adoption across new business units.
As part of the HCLS Industry team, you will shape and deliver a global healthcare strategy, engage with C-suite customers to deepen relationships, work with strategic industry partners, and drive thought leadership at industry events. You will guide the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and create significant business opportunities for AWS while working closely with AWS sales leadership, product, and services teams to evolve offerings for rapid customer adoption.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key IT and business unit executives and stakeholders within Life Science organizations to generate demand for AWS services.
- Lead and support sales pursuits, advising customers on AWS cloud solutions and expanding platform adoption to new business units.
- Engage with C-suite customers across Life Sciences organizations to deepen relationships and drive strategic interactions.
- Work with strategic industry partners and attend or speak at industry events to drive thought leadership.
- Guide the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy and create significant business opportunities for AWS.
- Collaborate with AWS product and services teams to evolve offerings for rapid customer adoption.
- Think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges, building compelling value propositions.
- Lead and drive multiple complex initiatives across technical and non-technical stakeholders to meet business objectives with a customer-obsessed approach.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers, or experience leading and influencing teams or organizations.
- Knowledge of data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
- 3+ years of management experience, or 10+ years of technology sales experience.
- 5+ years of sales or sales management in infrastructure or cloud technology.
- Experience with C-level sales and strategic partnership building.
- Experience in large, complex deal negotiations with a successful track record.
- 7+ years of business development or account management with a proven ability to deliver results.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree, or 8+ years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of stakeholder or account management experience, or experience in leadership or account management positions.
- Experience in Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering, or DevOps.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g., security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA).
- Experience in enterprise-scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry.
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects, or experience with data analytics platforms (Power BI, Python, SQL, Tableau).
- Degree in advanced technology, or 4+ years of cloud and on-premise integration experience.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay
- USA, CA, San Francisco: $187,000.00 - $252,900.00 USD annually.
- USA, CA, Santa Monica: $170,000.00 - $230,000.00 USD annually.
