Summary
The Global Account Director, Consumer Vertical is a senior position that develops and maintains business for significant global Consumer accounts. The primary focus of the role is on selling/improving logistics solutions, including road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value-added services. This role is integral in establishing and maintaining long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution. This position requires a high degree of analytical skills and industry knowledge to unlock hidden value that may not be readily identifiable to our clients.Our Offer

- Develop and execute a comprehensive account plan aimed at maintaining existing business and identifying the top opportunities.
- Manage named global Consumer accounts, in accordance with agreed financial and performance targets based on DSV processes.
- Develop solutions for the named global customers; leverage DSV vertical structure and competencies into innovative developments.
- Work closely with operations to deliver high-level service to customers.
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within an account.
- Understand the customer’s buying process.
- Understand the customer’s business (strategically, operationally, & financially).
- Work closely with customers to intimately understand their needs.
- Work across all divisions within DSV to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
- Maintain an open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep the sponsor engaged in the account.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of recent global account sales experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Subject matter expert grade knowledge of the Industry.
- Proven track record of sales success within the Industry.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and others).
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
- Advanced mathematical skills for project development.
- Advanced level of business acumen.
- Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Self-motivated team player.
- Ability to travel frequently.
Physical Demands
