GL Accountant

Job Summary

The GL Accountant assists with a variety of accounting and financial reporting functions, focusing on month-end, year-end, and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and posting of month-end and year-end journal entries
• Effective management of multiple tasks
• Support to the Senior GL Accountant(s) and Accounting Manager as needed
• Daily, monthly, and quarterly account reconciliations, including cash, prepaid, intercompany, and various liability accounts
• Financial audit support
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls for timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and company policy
• Collaborate with internal and external departments for reconciliation, budgeting, problem-solving, and variance analysis as requested
• Continuous improvement of accounting procedures through analysis of current processes, recommendation of changes to streamline Workday, and development of spreadsheet reports for the accounting close process

Required Skills

• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and effective communicator
• Collaborative and cross-functional working abilities
• Working knowledge of local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Strong analytical and technical accounting research skills
• Multi-currency and intercompany background
• Excel proficiency including Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Minimum 3+ years of reporting and analytical experience
• Experience in Workday or Acumatica (plus)

Office Environment

Onsite employees – Must work onsite at ACN’s designated office or facility. Temporary remote work arrangements may be considered on a case-by-case basis. However, standard expectations are to work onsite. Office hours are Monday through Friday, between 8 AM to 5 PM. Occasional travel for continuing education, training, or support may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Reach with hands and arms
• Lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

Security Training Requirement

Successful candidates must complete mandatory security training during their onboarding process. This training is essential to maintain a secure work environment, protect sensitive information, and ensure the safety of personnel.
