GL Accountant

About The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing organization to identify a skilled GL Accountant who will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Aid with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records
• Support financial statement preparation and reporting activities
• Analyze account activity and provide recommendations for process improvements
• Aid with audits and provide required documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus
