GIS Technician Intern

About the role

The GIS Intern position at HDR is ideal for a student who has completed coursework towards a GIS-focused degree and is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role is ideal for those currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or related programs.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the creation, editing, and maintenance of GIS datasets
• Develop high-quality cartographic products to support project deliverables
• Support field data collection efforts using Esri applications
• Collaborate with GIS staff and project teams to meet project goals
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate environmental science, biology, environmental engineering, or related program
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Esri ArcGIS software
• Commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture
• Familiarity with GIS-related software, tools, or programming

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. For Colorado, the range is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour.

Schedule

This position is part-time and temporary.

This role falls under the Military Planning Business Class.
