About the role

The Gift Shop Admin Coordinator at CHI Health Saint Francis in Grand Island, Nebraska, plays a crucial role in the smooth operation of the office. You will manage diverse administrative functions, foster strong internal and external communication, and ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collect daily receipts, prepare deposits, maintain ledgers, and reconcile envelopes to the cash register.
  • Record expenses and income into computer Excel sheets, manage monthly gross sales, input monthly budget data, and provide daily sales breakdowns to Finance.
  • Oversee the Gift Shop cash register and cash bags, confirming daily accuracy and replenishing necessary bills and coins.
  • Work with the Gift Shop Supervisor to develop and implement a social media and marketing strategy, keeping up with current trends and recognizing hospital staff contributions.
  • Process freight by logging it into the Point of Sale system, price tagging, and placing merchandise on the sales floor. This includes lifting boxes and using ladders, and organizing the back store room and basement.
  • Manage the Gift Shop during Open House events, preparing new displays and resetting the store. Assist with various classes and community outreach events.
  • Monitor website sales, ensure prompt delivery, and update the website with attractive photos and accurate descriptions. Handle online orders, update the Pay Pal account as needed, and report sales.
  • Manage Gift Shop volunteers, covering shifts when absent, recruiting new volunteers, and training them to be welcoming and knowledgeable about products.
  • Participate in annual volunteer banquets, Christmas parties, and other hospital-related events, representing St. Francis at community events.

Requirements

  • A High School GED or equivalent.
  • One to three years of retail gift shop experience, including responsibilities in displaying and excellent customer service.

Preferred

  • Two years of retail gift shop experience.
