About the role

The Gift Shop Admin Coordinator at CHI Health Saint Francis in Grand Island, Nebraska, plays a crucial role in the operational success of the office. You will manage diverse administrative functions, foster effective internal and external communication, and ensure an environment of efficiency and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Collect the daily receipts in the Gift Shop, prepare deposit, maintain ledger, and reconcile envelopes to the cash register.
  • Record expenses and income into computer Excel sheets, provide a daily breakdown of sales to Finance, and oversee the Gift Shop cash register and cash bag with daily confirmation of accuracy and needed bills and coins.
  • Work with the Gift Shop Supervisor to create and implement a social media and marketing strategy, recognizing various hospital staff and showing appreciation through creative events and food sampling.
  • Process freight by logging it into the Point of Sale system, price tagging, and putting merchandise onto the sales floor. Organize the back store room and basement to find items quickly and report out-of-stock and low inventory items needing to be ordered.
  • Work with the entire team to prep for Open House events, creating new displays and resetting the entire store. Assist with various classes offered in the late afternoon or evening for community outreach.
  • Check website sales and assure prompt delivery, update and process online orders, consistently update the website, create attractive photos, and include accurate descriptions. Report sales and transfer PayPal funds as needed.
  • Manage Gift Shop volunteers, cover shifts when absent, actively recruit new volunteers, train and onboard new volunteers to be welcoming to guests, knowledgeable about our products, and suggest items to fit their needs.
  • Aid with annual volunteer banquet, Christmas party, and other hospital-related events. Attend other community events as a representative of St. Francis.

Requirements

  • High School GED General Studies
  • 1-3 years of retail gift shop experience, including responsibilities in displaying and excellent customer service

Preferred

  • Two (2) years of retail gift shop experience to include responsibilities in displaying and excellent customer service
