(GH9) Vehicle Technician

About the role

If you’re an experienced Diagnostic Technician looking for a role where your technical ability is recognised and there is genuine opportunity to earn well, this could be worth a closer look. We’re recruiting for an established automotive dealership in Alperton that is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Senior Diagnostic Technician.

Pay

Up to £44,000 basic salary, with earning potential of approximately £60,000 OTE.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard
• Use current diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults
• Provide technical advice and support where required
• Work to manufacturer and dealership standards and procedures
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining a right‑first‑time approach
• Maintain clear and accurate records of work carried out
• Work closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team to keep vehicles moving

Requirements

• Strong previous experience as an Automotive Technician
• Proven diagnostic experience and the ability to identify and resolve complex faults
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional approach to quality, safety and customer service

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification

Skills

• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• Main dealership experience (desirable)
• MOT Testing qualification (desirable)
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles (desirable)
• Manufacturer technical training (desirable)
• Experience working with a wide range of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment (desirable)
