Geriatrician

About the role

Part-time position with a national wound physician group in Charlottesville, VA, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care in real-time during rounds using proprietary wound-specific EMR

Training

• Physician-level wound management training provided during onboarding
• 6-month wound care fellowship included, with training from highly qualified wound-certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Exposure to cutting-edge clinical technologies and latest wound care modalities

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 weekdays per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Virginia
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)
