Geriatrician

About the role

Part-time geriatrician position with a national wound physician group, offering clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in the post-acute care setting, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20-30 patients per day
• Perform clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR
• Become an expert in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week

Practice details

• Part-time role requires a minimum of 3 days per week (full-time is 4–5 days per week)
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)
• Paid training provided during onboarding plus a 6-month wound care fellowship
