Geriatrician

About the role

Part-Time Geriatrician position with a National Wound Physician Group in Colorado Springs, CO. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities. Physicians provide bedside wound care in post-acute care settings, including Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals, across over 3,200 facilities in 28 states.

Responsibilities

• Deliver modern wound management at the bedside in the post-acute care setting
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each assigned facility
• Visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
• Complete clinical documentation at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using a proprietary wound-specific EMR

Training

• Physician-level wound management training provided during onboarding
• Six-month wound care fellowship included
• Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
• Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities

Schedule

• Part-time role: minimum of 3 weekdays per week
• Full-time role: 4–5 days per week (Monday–Friday, 7am–4pm)
• No call, no weekend clinical responsibilities
• Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in Colorado
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
• W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)

Compensation and benefits

• W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
