Part-time geriatrician position with a national wound physician group, based in Waterbury, CT. This role offers clinical satisfaction, autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance with no nights, no call, and no weekend clinical responsibilities.
Practice overview
- Full-time schedule: Monday – Friday (7am–4pm); part-time available
- No call / no weekend clinical responsibilities
- Physicians deliver modern wound management at the bedside in post-acute care settings: Skilled Nursing Facilities and Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals
- Weekly wound rounds conducted at each facility
- Part-time role requires a minimum of 3 days per week; full-time role is 4–5 days per week
- Mobile practice: physicians visit facilities within a 40–60 mile radius of practice location
- Physicians visit 2–3 facilities per day, treating approximately 20–30 patients per day
- Clinical documentation is at point of care, in real-time during clinical rounds, using proprietary wound-specific EMR
- W2 employment contract (no work visa sponsorship available)
Training
- Physician-level wound management training provided
- Wound fellowship offered, providing all knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence
- Paid training provided during onboarding plus 6-month wound care fellowship
- Learn from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors
- Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities
Requirements
- Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice
- Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week
Pay & benefits
- W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits
