Geri Psych (RN) (FT) (NIGHTS)
Full Time Nights – 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730. Average of every 3rd weekend and rotating holiday.
About the Role
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin, and Washington counties. The hospital offers a state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multi-room surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building houses primary care physicians and visiting medical and surgical specialists. The hospital also operates four rural health clinics, a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department, an award-winning Wound Care Center with hyperbaric chambers, and the New Hope Senior Behavioral Health Center for patients 55 and older needing structured psychiatric care.
Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and their families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care needs and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Participates in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with established guidelines and standards of nursing care.
- Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.

Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- No prior experience required.
- RN licensure (required).
