About the role

Full Time Nights (7:00pm–7:30am), 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation. Average patient ratio 5:1 with census less than 18.

Overview

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital serving Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties. Services include a state-of-the-art emergency department, childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, cardiac rehab, cancer center, rural health clinics, Therapy and Rehabilitation department, and an award-winning Wound Care Center with hyperbaric chambers.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within established nursing standards
  • Promotes patient- and family-centered care in a healing environment
  • Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care needs and medication administration
  • Participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance activities
  • Engages in professional development
  • Develops, implements and documents individualized plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient or family
  • Ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum
  • Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial and emotional needs according to standards of care
  • Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural and population-specific needs

Requirements

  • Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s degree
  • Licenses & Certifications: RN

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
