About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical unit to provide comprehensive patient care utilizing the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients
- Developing care plans
- Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are maintained
- Managing adult medical patients with diagnoses such as infections, obstructions, and respiratory conditions
- Emphasizing patient assessment, complex care coordination, and clinical skill development
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in Missouri or compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications
- Prior hospital experience
- BSN
- Additional certifications
Skills and physical requirements
- Strong clinical assessment and coordination skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform physical tasks as needed
- Effective communication and teamwork
