About the role

The Geotechnical Engineer, Staff position is responsible for conducting soil and rock tests, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to ensure project safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conducting soil and rock tests to assess stability and suitability for construction projects
• Analyzing test results and preparing detailed reports
• Providing technical support to project teams in decision-making processes
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations
• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical considerations into project designs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering
• Proficiency in using geotechnical testing equipment and software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices
• Experience with geotechnical design and analysis
• Understanding of construction materials and their properties
• Ability to interpret and apply local and national building codes and standards

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with geotechnical software such as GSI-3D, GeoStudio, or similar tools
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Full-time position
