About the role
The Geotechnical Engineer, Staff position is responsible for conducting soil and rock tests, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to ensure project safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conducting soil and rock tests to assess stability and suitability for construction projects
- Analyzing test results and preparing detailed reports
- Providing technical support to project teams in decision-making processes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to integrate geotechnical considerations into project designs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in geotechnical engineering
- Proficiency in using geotechnical testing equipment and software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Knowledge of geotechnical principles and practices
- Experience with geotechnical design and analysis
- Understanding of construction materials and their properties
- Ability to interpret and apply local and national building codes and standards
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with geotechnical software such as GSI-3D, GeoStudio, or similar tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

- $80,000 - $100,000 annually
Schedule
- Full-time position
