Responsibilities
- Perform geotechnical calculations and analyses for seepage, slope stability, shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and tieback anchors.
- Prepare technical reports, design and construction drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- Plan subsurface exploration programs and laboratory testing investigations.
- Conduct site reconnaissance and execute subsurface investigations to support design work.
- Provide technical support during the construction phase of projects.
- Assist with dam safety inspections and other field evaluations.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 2-15 years of relevant geotechnical experience (Master’s counts as 1 year; PhD counts as 2 years).
- Experience with geotechnical analysis software such as GeoStudio, STABL, SLIDE, or LPILE.
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
- U.S. employment authorization.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain within 1-2 years.
- Master’s or PhD with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering.
- Experience with FEM/FDM software such as PLAXIS 3D, Midas 3D, or FLAC3D.
- Programming or scripting skills for engineering applications.
Pay
$60,000 - $120,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
