Geotechnical Designer

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our Geostructural Design Group in our Quakertown, PA office.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the design of segmental retaining walls
• Aid in the design of support for excavation systems
• Support engineered slope and global stability evaluations
• Perform geotechnical analyses including lateral earth pressures, slope stability, bearing capacity, and settlement
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports, and construction documents
• Develop plan details and sections using AutoCAD
• Participate in subsurface investigations and interpret soil data for design use
• Cook with contractors and project managers during construction

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (required)
• Actively pursuing E.I.T. certification (required)
• Basic understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering
• Exposure to retaining wall or slope stability concepts (coursework acceptable)
• Basic AutoCAD experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
