About the role

Geologists contribute significantly to our understanding of Earth's formation and ongoing processes. This role celebrates their contributions and educates the public about the importance of geology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork to collect and analyze geological samples
• Study rock formations and their histories
• Identify and interpret geological hazards
• Develop hazard maps and provide recommendations for mitigation
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to inform land-use decisions
• Advise on natural resource management and sustainability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field
• Experience in fieldwork and laboratory analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
