Geologist

About the role

Arcadis is seeking an Entry-Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA; Conshohocken, PA or the East Windsor, NJ region. This position is slated to start in May/June 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers (PMs) and Task Managers (TMs) in planning and executing environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks.
• Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
• Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Conduct field work including soil, groundwater, and/or vapor sampling in the field.
• Operate and maintain remediation systems, perform vapor intrusion/soil gas surveys, and manage health and safety protocols.
• Support the development of project strategies, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate task coordination, data compilation, and interpretation, and manage costs.
• Review regulatory files and prepare proposals.
• Establish and manage subcontracts.
• Collaborate with senior scientists and engineers, project managers, and technical experts on various environmental assessment and remediation projects.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field (e.g., environmental science, physical science).
• Preferred: Master of Science degree in Geology or closely related field.
• Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training.
