Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial and industrial generator systems using available technical resources.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Identify required parts, procure repair materials, and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Maintain a fully stocked service vehicle with tools and commonly used materials.
  • Assess equipment needs and determine the scope of repair work.
  • Estimate repair costs including labor, parts, and materials using department standards.
  • Provide accurate estimates to customers and communicate any changes promptly.
  • Complete and submit detailed service reports and documentation for each job.
  • Assist in prioritizing and organizing fieldwork to meet customer timelines.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure a positive service experience.
  • Take prompt action to address and resolve customer issues or complaints.
  • Pre-plan and identify methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
  • Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
  • Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company and support the goal of achieving zero accidents.
  • Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
  • Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Electrical Service, Commercial and Residential.
  • Good driving record and valid driver’s license; must pass pre-employment screening requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years old (21 for drivers).
  • Provide I-9 documents to establish work eligibility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience can substitute.
  • Generator experience is a plus; generator installation is a plus but will train the right candidate.
  • Good communication skills.
