Generator Technician
Troubleshooting
Capable of troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.
Maintenance and Repairs
Capable of maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.
Monitoring
Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.
Oversight
Provide guidance and oversight for any person under your supervision.
Schedule
Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Safety Compliance
Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.
Emergency Response
Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Requires an active SECRET clearance, with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ Poly
- High school diploma, Vocational or Trade school Graduate or equivalent apprenticeship
- Eight (8)+ years of professional Generator experience, three (3) of which are in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specifications
- Experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators
- Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services
- Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required
