About the role
Sell HIPOWER generator solutions in New Mexico to end-user accounts, electrical contractors, general contractors, and property managers. Responsibilities include budgeting, configuring, quoting, negotiating, and closing projects with internal engineering and administrative support.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop sales opportunities for power generating solutions, including presentations, quotations, and proposals to end-users, consulting engineers, and contractors.
- Develop relationships with assigned accounts to ensure familiarity with product and service offerings.
- Maintain knowledge of all generator products, applications, installation, maintenance, and service.
- Read, comprehend, and interpret engineering design drawings, bid specifications, contract documents, and submittal packages.
- Visit customer sites to evaluate application needs and sales opportunities.
- Design and deliver persuasive technical presentations on power generation products and services to achieve company sales goals.
- Identify and target prospective customers to generate future sales and repeat business.
- Engage and collaborate with Power Systems Sales Managers within DVL to nurture and develop projects and create strategic advantages.
- Quote all significant contractors on bid projects and diligently follow up on quoted jobs to determine the winning contractor and close business.
- Develop and prepare testing, commissioning, training, and as-built documents as required.
- Work collaboratively with DVL Services to ensure customer satisfaction during all facets of a project.
- Maintain product training requirements and technical knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Provide management with sales forecasts and project details by maintaining current information in DVL’s CRM system.
- Engage in professional organizations in the local market to represent DVL and its product and service capabilities.
- Attend manufacturing training classes to maintain proficiency with their products and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma required; engineering or technical degree preferred.
- Five years of recent and relevant sales experience selling power generating solutions.
- Experience selling power generation and power control systems in New Mexico is preferred.
- Knowledge of industry CAD drawings to create or modify electrical single lines, schematics, elevations, floor plans, and control systems is a plus.
- Basic familiarity with electrical generation, distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
- Understanding of NFPA 70E and OSHA electrical safety regulations.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint).
- General understanding of Construction Design-Bid Build and Design-Build processes.
- Valid Driver’s License required for customer site visits.

Pay
Salary draw pay range is $75,000–$125,000 per year plus car allowance and unlimited commission potential based on relevant generator sales experience.
