Generation Action Intern

About the role

The Generation Action Intern supports campus and community organizing, advocacy, and education efforts aligned with Planned Parenthood's mission.

Responsibilities

• Auxiliary with outreach campaigns
• Create educational materials
• Social media and digital engagement support
• Facilitate trainings or discussions
• Track participation and outcomes
• Provide administrative support such as scheduling, data entry, and basic reporting

Qualifications

• Interest in reproductive health, rights, and justice, and alignment with Planned Parenthood's mission and values
• Strong communication skills, including clear writing, public speaking or presentation skills, and the ability to engage diverse audiences
• Organizational and time-management abilities, including managing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accurate records
• Comfort with basic digital tools, such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, and social media platforms for outreach and engagement
• Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work respectfully with people from varied backgrounds and identities in group and community settings
• Self-motivation and willingness to take initiative, ask questions, and learn new skills with guidance from supervisors
• Availability to work in a hybrid schedule based in New Haven, CT, and Providence, RI with some evenings or weekends as needed for events
