General Superintendent (Data Centers)

As an experienced and collaborative General Superintendent, you’ll support our data center project in Spartanburg, SC, leading daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site. You’ll ensure the right materials, equipment, and people are in place to get the job done while prioritizing the safety, health, and well-being of your team and our planet. As a passionate leader, you’ll leverage your people management skills to help your team members discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site.
- Ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and personnel to execute construction tasks.
- Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns, meetings, and reviews with owners and designers.
- Conduct constructability reviews and lead client and construction meetings.
- Oversee safety leadership, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) revisions and daily signed-off permits.
- Manage QA construction turnover processes, including Test & Operations Procedures (TOP’s), punch lists, and walkdowns with contractors and owners.
- Collaborate in planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Create estimates, client presentations, timelines, staffing plans, and project execution plans.
- Demonstrate multidiscipline knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, IC, CSA).
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- At least 15 years of construction site experience.
- At least 15 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, construction inspector, and/or construction manager.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Center experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $111,100.00 to $152,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Schedule
Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
