General Superintendent (Data Centers)

As a General Superintendent, you’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at our data center project in Spartanburg, SC. You’ll ensure the right materials, equipment, and people are in place to get the job done while prioritizing the safety, health, and well-being of your team and the environment. You’ll leverage your people management skills to guide and inspire your team, fostering collaboration and driving project success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure project efficiency
• Facilitate safety, health, and well-being initiatives for the team and the environment
• Collaborate in planning, design, construction, and commissioning phases
• Create estimates, client presentations, timelines, staffing plans, and project execution plans
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns, meetings, and reviews with owners and designers
• Conduct constructability reviews
• Lead client and construction meetings
• Apply multidisciplinary knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, IC, CSA)
• Serve as a safety leader (JHA’s revision, SPA daily signed-off permits)
• Oversee QA construction turnover process, including TOP’s, punch lists, and walkdowns with contractors and owners

Requirements

• High School diploma
• At least 15 years of construction site experience
• At least 15 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, construction inspector, and/or construction manager
• Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design, pre-construction, building systems/components, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Center experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $111,100.00 to $152,700.00. Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
