General Superintendent (Data Centers)

As a General Superintendent on our data center project in Spartanburg, SC, you’ll take the lead on daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site, ensuring the right materials, equipment, and people are in place to get the job done. You’ll prioritize the safety, health, and well-being of your team and our planet while leveraging your people management skills to guide and nurture your team members. This role keeps our company connected, and we’ll support you with what you need to be successful in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily scheduling and planning activities at the project site.
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and personnel to meet project needs.
• Facilitate safety, health, and well-being initiatives for the team and the environment.
• Collaborate in planning, design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Create estimates, client presentations, timelines, staffing plans, and project execution plans.
• Facilitate and coordinate walkdowns, meetings, and reviews with owners and designers.
• Conduct constructability reviews.
• Lead client and construction meetings.
• Apply multidiscipline knowledge (Mechanical, Electrical, IC, CSA).
• Act as a safety leader (JHA’s revision, SPA daily signed-off permits).
• Oversee QA construction turnover process, including TOP’s, punch lists, and walkdowns with contractors and owners.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• At least 15 years of construction site experience.
• At least 15 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, construction inspector, and/or construction manager.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in software such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Bluebeam.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Center experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $111,100.00 to $152,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schedule

Hybrid working policy allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
