General Office Assistant 5-E7 - Muskegon County
About the Role
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) mission is to provide opportunities, services, and programs that promote a healthy, safe, and stable environment for residents to be self-sufficient. This position performs a variety of administrative support assignments, which may include reception, application registration, Bridges Scanning and Index system, and distribution of mail. The role may also serve as the local office fiscal designee.
The physical location of this position is Muskegon County MDHHS, 2700 Baker St., Muskegon Heights, MI. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests may be considered. Selected candidates approved for remote or hybrid work must complete that work within Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative support tasks such as reception duties.
- Handle application registration and use the Bridges Scanning and Index system.
- Distribute mail within the office.
- Serve as the local office fiscal designee, if required.
Requirements
Education
Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school.
Experience
- General Office Assistant 5: No specific type or amount of experience is required.
- General Office Assistant 6: One year of administrative support experience.
- General Office Assistant E7: Two years of administrative support experience, including one year equivalent to the intermediate level.
