About the role

The Site General Manager oversees a designated travel center, ensuring it operates successfully and profitably. They are responsible for leading a team, setting goals, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the management team and overall operations of the designated location
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and inspire team members to do the same
  • Build and maintain a strong leadership team by communicating a clear vision and providing training and development
  • Ensure the site meets company objectives in areas like people, profit, safety, quality of service, and appearance
  • Coach and teach customer service principles to all team members, including direct customer interaction to resolve issues
  • Identify and recruit management-level talent, review staffing levels, and develop management teams and successors
  • Maintain key performance indicators, identify opportunities for improvement, and communicate these to the District Manager and management team
  • Ensure safety for customers and team members, assess performance, and recommend for advancement and merit increases
  • Address customer complaints promptly and develop strategies to prevent recurrence
  • Solicit feedback from employees and customers to improve location operations
  • Aware of and comply with all relevant regulations, execute loss prevention and audit policies, and ensure accurate reporting
  • Manage location operations within budget, control expenses, and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  • Develop and implement programs to recognize and reward outstanding customer service
  • Set an example of outstanding customer service and provide development opportunities for career growth
  • Develop and implement a succession plan for departments
  • Accurately forecast site results and achieve budgeted EBITDA
  • Complete lead certification requirements related to restaurant brands managed
  • Complete required training within 90 days

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma (or GED) is required, with an Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, with proven positive results, is preferred
  • Proficient in planning and analysis, able to achieve positive financial results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and operational understanding of POS software
  • A valid driver's license with appropriate insurance coverage and acceptable driving record

Pay

$75,000.00 - 80,000.00 annually
The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.

Schedule

Typical Physical Demands: Regularly talk and hear, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, bend over, crouch, crawl, climb, and use repetitive leg movements. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and moving heavy objects. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. All performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

While performing these duties, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. The employee may be exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, etc. All performed with or without a reasonable accommodation.
