General Manager (Site)

About the role

The Site General Manager oversees a designated travel center, responsible for coaching and leading the site in operating a successful and profitable location. They supervise the management team, establish goals, coach staff, and ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the management team and overall operations of the designated location
• Demonstrate professional demeanor and inspire team to do the same
• Build and maintain a strong, dynamic leadership team
• Identify and recruit management-level talent, review staffing levels, and develop successors
• Maintain key performance indicators and address customer complaints
• Solicit employee and customer feedback to improve operations
• Achieve compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting and record-keeping
• Manage multiple profit centers and 24/7 operations
• Execute loss prevention and audit policies
• Control operating expenses within budget
• Train and develop management team and employees
• Develop and implement recognition programs for outstanding customer service
• Develop and implement succession plans for departments
• Forecast site results and achieve budgeted EBITDA

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate's or bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role preferred with proven positive results
• Proficient in planning and analytical skills, able to achieve positive financial results
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Operational understanding of POS software
