General Manager in Training
About the role
The ideal candidate for this position is someone with previous General Manager experience, though a background in quick service restaurants or hospitality/re retail is also considered strong. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the restaurant, including profit, food production, scheduling, guest experience, and direct crew and manager responsibilities.
- Proactively lead and manage People processes including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, coaching, and motivating.
- Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budgets, and food ordering/costs.
- Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Maintain high levels of safety for both guests and employees.
- Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
Requirements
A commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace, strong customer service and support focus, and the ability to communicate effectively and anticipate customer needs are required. Providing solutions and making decisions in a fast-paced environment is also important.
Qualifications
Previous General Manager experience is preferred, but a background in quick service restaurants or hospitality/re retail is also considered strong. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Skills
Strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are key.
