General Manager in Training
About the role
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This role requires leadership, planning, and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects within the restaurant, including profit, food production, scheduling, guest experience, and direct crew and manager responsibilities.
- Proactively lead and manage People processes such as recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, coaching, and motivating.
- Plan for and make critical business decisions around inventory, budgets, and food ordering/costs.
- Ensure food safety measures are set and achieved to McDonald’s standards of excellence.
- Maintain high levels of safety for both guests and employees.
- Oversee all operational needs of the restaurant, including maintenance plans to meet and exceed standards of excellence.
Requirements
Previous General Manager experience is required, or a strong background in quick service restaurants or hospitality/re retail. Must be 18 years or older.

Strong commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace, excellent customer service and support focus, effective communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
