General Manager 3 - Food

Sodexo Corporate Services at HCA in Nashville, TN is seeking a General Manager 3 to oversee the café, catering, micro-market, and coffee bar on site. This role involves leading and developing a team of 1 Executive Chef and 12 to 15 non-union hourly employees.

About the Role

In this leadership position, you will oversee daily food service operations, ensuring exceptional quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You’ll guide and develop your team while managing financial performance and building strong relationships with clients and customers to support sustained success.

Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources; responsible for performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are primarily achieved through the work of others and depend on your ability to influence and negotiate within the organization. Progression reflects acquisition of broad technical expertise, business and industry knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Responsible for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day food service operations, including café, catering, micro-market, and coffee bar.
• Manage client relationships and ensure quality and presentation of services.
• Lead and develop a team of 1 Executive Chef and 12 to 15 non-union hourly employees.
• Manage budget and financial performance, including cost control and performance analysis.
• Grow the catering business with hands-on leadership and a results-oriented approach.
• Build and maintain strong client and customer partnerships.
• Drive operational excellence while meeting financial goals and performance targets.
• Influence team growth through coaching, engagement, and professional development.
• Collaborate across departments to innovate and improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service management or directorship, preferably in large or complex settings.
• Leadership skills with a track record of building positive team culture, employee retention, and staff development.
• Solid financial expertise, including budgeting, cost control, and performance analysis.
• Hands-on, results-oriented approach with the ability to support and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally and maintain strong client relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of management experience.
• 2-5 years of related experience.

Pay

Pay range: $64,600 – $83,600 per year. Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary.
