About the role
You’ll lead a Domino’s Pizza store as the manager on duty, overseeing all operations during your shift. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role in a fun, flexible environment where you’ll gain long-term career skills while helping us deliver the best pizza in the world.
Responsibilities
- Direct all shift activities, including cost control, inventory, cash management, and customer relations.
- Set the example for your crew by following all company policies and procedures 100 % of the time.
- Staff, schedule, and train team members to meet sales, service, and profitability goals.
- Complete paperwork, manage food inventory, and maintain store cleanliness and image standards.
- Greet customers enthusiastically, take orders, and resolve concerns with a positive attitude.
- Operate, clean, and maintain store equipment and facilities.
- Prepare pizzas and other products according to Domino’s specifications.
- Receive and process telephone orders quickly to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Navigate delivery routes, locate addresses, and traverse diverse terrain (including multi-story buildings) while carrying product.
- Perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and make correct monetary change.
- Use computer systems, touch screens, and foot-pedal controls.
- Unload bulk product deliveries (up to 50 lbs) and stock ingredients in storage, work areas, and coolers.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
- Pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check (meeting company standards).
- Ability to stand for the majority of your shift and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and crouching.
- Hand-eye coordination for tasks like shaping dough, using a pizza peel, and folding boxes.
- Comfort working under stress, making ethical decisions, and coordinating with coworkers and customers.
Physical Demands
- Daily tasks are performed standing, with frequent walking on ceramic tile or linoleum surfaces.
- Work surfaces range from 36” counters to 4” prep tables.
- Unload bulk deliveries (up to 50 lbs) 2–3 times per week.
- Occasional crouching, squatting, stooping, bending, or stair use.
