General Maintenance Worker (Federal Building)

About the role

Responsible for performing general maintenance tasks in a federal building setting. Duties include cleaning, repairing minor electrical issues, painting, and minor plumbing repairs.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning restrooms, common areas, and exterior grounds
• Repairing minor electrical issues such as replacing light bulbs and fixing simple outlets
• Painting walls and ceilings using appropriate safety equipment
• Performing minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging drains and fixing small leaks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least one year of related work experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations
• Good physical condition and ability to stand for long periods
