GENERAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities

1. Provide superior guest service, positively affect interactions with guests and employees, and have the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions.
2. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
3. Maintain, repair, and replace gaming table layouts with instructions provided by a supervisor.
4. Identify and diagnose deficiencies with the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators, and take measures to correct deficiencies.
5. Perform mid-level to advanced level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.
6. Create preventative maintenance schedules and follow such schedules.
7. Absorb and dispose of any cups, glasses, bottles, or other items left on the floor by guests.
8. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
9. Keep work area clean and orderly.
10. Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies in an ethical manner and empower and require others to do the same.
11. Work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts and work locations may change.
12. Perform other duties as assigned or reasonably requested by any member of management.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Proficient in English verbal and written.
• Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1055 gaming license.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• A certification in a trade school or 4-6 years’ experience in facilities maintenance of which may include 2+ years at level of Maintenance Technician I and II or a combination of education/experience.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to push and pull up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds, and up to 250 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively.
• Safely work with provided cleaning chemical and equipment.
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
• Ability to work from a standing or sitting position and/or walking motion for extended period.
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment.
