About the role
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION. Conducts preventative and required maintenance on equipment and structures in the Dryer/Storage area, including greasing, parts replacement, troubleshooting, installation, repairs, inspections, product protection, and parts/tools reconciliation; ensures equipment and areas are clean after maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Greasing equipment and components
- Replacing parts and equipment
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Installing new equipment or components
- Performing structure repairs
- Inspecting equipment for wear or damage
- Providing product protection during maintenance activities
- Reconciling parts and tools after maintenance
- Ensuring equipment and work areas are clean following maintenance
- Performing other duties as requested by supervisor
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and turn throughout the day
- Ability to climb up to 100 ft
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Fluent English language skills (read, speak, understand)
- Willingness to work night shift during harvest
- Willingness to be trained to transfer grain
- Willingness to be trained to operate heavy machinery
- Willingness to be trained to operate a forklift
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Willingness to follow safety and food‑safety rules
- Prior experience preferred but not required
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:00a.m. - 4:00p.m., overtime as needed including weekends and 12-hour shifts days or nights during harvest.
