GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Job Summary

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club is seeking individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to excellence in their field. This position involves repairing and maintaining all hotel equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed.
• Arrive on time, wear proper uniform, and maintain a clean appearance.
• Attend required training and safety courses, participate in office and departmental meetings.
• Report and address safety hazards, ensuring they are corrected.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Interact positively with guests and colleagues.
• Perform preventive maintenance as necessary.
• Access high areas using a ladder safely.
• Follow all company safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Director of Engineering/Chief Engineer.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of general engineering and maintenance experience.
• Experience in a hospitality setting is preferred.
• Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English proficiently.

Skills

Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, following Material Safety Data Sheets, and performing preventive maintenance.
