General Maintenance

About the role

Richmond Raceway seeks a General Maintenance professional to perform routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and track services duties at the iconic ¾-mile D-shaped oval and the 1,100-plus-acre multipurpose facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform all preventive maintenance functions including some electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance/repairs related to building maintenance.
• Weld, cut, and fabricate as needed.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
• Requisition parts and equipment with Supervisor’s approval; keep records and reports.
• Provide general housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Prepare, maintain, and restore the track surface (sweeping, blowing, applying and picking up absorbent, washing/scrubbing fluids, etc.).
• Conduct general maintenance around the facility, including painting.
• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment including vehicles, lifts, and other heavy machinery.
• Install and store signage throughout the property; assist with fleet management and inventory.
• Flexible schedule to support evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as required for events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years’ experience and/or training in building services or business operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utilities, and facility maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; perform hands-on work and safely move equipment and materials.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and a clean driving record.
