General Maintenance
Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift General Maintenance Person to join our team at our Salina, KS facility.
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Overtime on Fridays as required
- Some on-call availability for weekends and other hours outside posted schedule
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on critical equipment
- Complete projects such as mechanical and software upgrades
- Maintain equipment logs, recording downtime and maintenance problems
- Document all process changes
- Assist with scheduling downtime for machine repairs or preventive maintenance
- Provide leadership to ensure all safety and environmental procedures are maintained
- Provide Production Supervisors with relevant information on equipment and process performance, including production and waste data
- Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
- Other duties as assigned requiring various qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environments
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of CNC lasers, torches, lathes, drill presses, brake presses, horizontal milling machines, forklifts, and welders
- Experience with advanced CNC repair and troubleshooting
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and perform repairs
- Ability to perform electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs used in electrical (under 50v) and mechanical maintenance work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills preferred
- Team player with strong discipline, problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Provide personal tools for the trade
