General Maintenance

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for machines, equipment, and facilities.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and changing.
• Operate and maintain vacuum and blow-off machines.
• Replace floor dry, sweep, and mop floors.
• Assist with changeovers as needed.
• Support air wash maintenance activities.
• Inspect and service carriers, disassembling and rebuilding as necessary.
• Operate degreaser according to procedures.
• Wash spools as required.
• Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning break rooms, restrooms, and grounds.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycle material waste.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some general mechanical experience preferred.
• Forklift license required for some job tasks.
• Lockout certification may be required.

Skills and Specialized Knowledge

• Attention to details.
• A good understanding of machine components and their functions.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and usage labels.
• Teamwork and effective communication skills.
• Physical abilities to stand, squat, bend, lift, and work with hands above head.

Working Conditions

• Work schedule: 7:00am to 3:30pm (Monday – Friday).
• Work environment: Manufacturing facility with occasional rooftop and surrounding property work.
• Required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Hot work area during summer months for degreaser and carrier build tasks.
• Repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
