General Liability Claims Adjuster – Gaming & Hospitality Accounts

The General Liability Claims Adjuster is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of liability claims within a dedicated national gaming and hospitality program. This role handles a diverse inventory of General Liability claims, ranging from low-severity incidents to more complex litigated matters. Claims may involve premises liability, bodily injury, guest incidents, property damage, and other liability exposures occurring within gaming, hospitality, and entertainment environments. The successful candidate will independently manage claims from assignment through resolution while ensuring compliance with Corporate Claim Standards, client-specific handling requirements, and applicable state regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, and adjust General Liability claims from assignment through resolution
- Conduct liability investigations involving bodily injury, premises liability, and property damage exposures
- Analyze coverage, liability, damages, and risk transfer opportunities
- Establish and maintain appropriate reserves based on claim exposure
- Review incident reports, medical records, witness statements, contracts, and supporting documentation
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and authorized representatives
- Manage attorney-represented and litigated claims throughout the claim lifecycle
- Coordinate activities with defense counsel, experts, and vendors as necessary
- Identify and pursue subrogation opportunities when appropriate
- Maintain timely diary management and accurate claim documentation
- Prepare claim summaries, reserve recommendations, and client reports
- Deliver exceptional customer service and responsive claim management
- Ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Standards and client-specific handling instructions
Requirements
- Active Adjuster License or Designated Home State (DHS) License required
- Minimum 5 years of General Liability claims handling experience
- Experience managing claims from investigation through final resolution
- Strong liability investigation and coverage analysis skills
- Experience handling premises liability and bodily injury claims
- Litigation management experience required
- Experience working directly with defense counsel
- Ability to establish reserves and negotiate settlements
- Strong organizational, diary management, and documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Reliable attendance during established business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Gaming, hospitality, hotel, casino, or entertainment industry claims experience
- Multi-jurisdiction liability claim experience
- Prior TPA experience
- Experience handling high-exposure liability claims
- Additional adjuster licenses
- Industry designations such as: AIC, CPCU, ARM

Pay
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 annually
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hybrid employees typically work 1–2 days per week in the Metairie office. Remote eligibility is available for qualified candidates based on experience and location.
