General Liability Claims Adjuster

About the Role

At Gallagher Bassett, we help clients navigate complexity, support recovery, and deliver outcomes that make a real difference in people’s lives. This role requires active adjusters' licenses in TX, FL, and NY, with a hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in Carrollton, TX; Downers Grove, IL; or St. Peters, MO).

Responsibilities

• Apply claims management experience to analyze claims exposure, plan courses of action, and resolve claims.
• Interact with parties involved in the claim process to ensure effective communication and resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service to claimants, exhibiting empathy throughout the process.
• Handle claims in accordance with client and corporate policies, statutory/regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
• Document and communicate claim activity timely and efficiently.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve General Liability claims (e.g., restaurant/retail premises, foodborne illness, slip-and-fall).
• Partner with clients to deliver innovative solutions and enhance claims management processes.
• Think critically, solve problems, and prioritize activities to serve clients optimally.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required).
• Minimum of 3 years of related claims experience.
• Appropriate licensing and/or certification in all states where claims are handled (required: TX, FL, NY).
• Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
• Computer proficiency with claims and business software.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• General Liability claims experience (e.g., premises liability, foodborne illness, slip-and-fall).
• U.S. jurisdictional experience.
