General Laborers

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting, including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Build across Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the Leadman, Foreman, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager.
• Follow direction regarding daily production schedule and activities.
• Ensure the job-site is safe prior to commencing work in conjunction with the Leadman, Foreman, and/or Superintendent.
• Maintain a clean job site; pick up all tools, equipment, and secure the job site each day.
• Use equipment and/or an assortment of job tools.
• Perform general laborer work as needed.
• Complete any and all other duties assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Operate at professional construction sites, requiring verbal communication in person and over the telephone.
• Read printed materials, signs, and directions.
• Lift, push, pull, carry, handle, or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery, and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift overhead.
• Navigate and perform activities on various construction sites safely, including traversing uneven surfaces.
• Work outside, frequently for long periods, in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, pathogens, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience preferred.
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen is required.
