General Laborers

About the role

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting across Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. We are seeking General Laborers to join our Utah division in the Eagle Mountain area.

Responsibilities

• Work quickly, productively, and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the Leadman, Foreman, Superintendent, and/or Project Manager.
• Follow direction regarding daily production schedules and activities.
• Collaborate with the Leadman, Foreman, and/or Superintendent to ensure job-site safety before commencing work.
• Maintain a clean job site by picking up tools, equipment, and securing the site each day.
• Use equipment and an assortment of job tools.
• Perform general laborer work as needed.
• Complete any other assigned duties.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Operate at professional construction sites, requiring verbal communication in person and over the telephone.
• Read printed materials, signs, and directions.
• Lift, push, pull, carry, handle, or feel objects, supplies, tools, machinery, and/or controls weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift overhead.
• Navigate and perform activities on various construction sites safely, including traversing uneven surfaces.
• Work outside, frequently for long periods, in all weather conditions, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.
• Potential exposure to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, pathogens, gases, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris.

Schedule

This is a full-time position. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year of related experience preferred.
• Passing a pre-employment drug screen is required.
