About the role
Cardinal Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated individuals to join our Wire Rope Fabrication team. This is a hands-on shop position responsible for manufacturing custom wire rope assemblies used in lifting, rigging, and industrial applications. No prior wire rope fabrication experience is required—we provide on-the-job training for motivated candidates who are mechanically inclined and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate wire rope slings, assemblies, and lifting products according to customer specifications.
- Measure, cut, and assemble wire rope using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Operate hydraulic presses, swaging machines, cutting equipment, and other shop machinery after training.
- Read work orders and follow detailed production instructions.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
- Label, package, and prepare completed products for shipment.
- Maintain accurate production records as required.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow all company safety policies and proper material handling procedures.
- Absorb and apply new skills through company-provided training.
- Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Work safely around industrial equipment and machinery.
- Assist with other production and shop duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, fabrication, assembly, or general labor experience preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Ability to accurately measure using tape measures and basic measuring devices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable attendance and a positive work ethic.
- Willingness to learn new skills through company-provided training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
