About the role
Assembles and/or packs completed parts for shipment to the customer.
Responsibilities
- Inspects parts for any obvious defects. Marks defective parts with the appropriate marks.
- Performs any required assembly (e.g. mounting brackets, clips, foam tape, etc).
- Performs repetitive production operations within the work cell.
- Packs parts for shipment according to the instructions and specifications for the part.
- Accurately labels parts and/or racks per the work instructions.
- Performs general housekeeping duties as required in work areas.
- Operates the equipment in assigned work cell as instructed.
- Participates in the safety process, including conducting internal safety audits, investigating accidents, and communicating safety-related information.
- Responsible for maintaining ISO/TS16949:2002 and ISO14001:2004 compliance within the manufacturing discipline.
- Responsible for maintaining OSHA compliance.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to understand and follow all quality alerts.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
- May require lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Must regularly stand for 8 to 12 hours during shift.
- Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and talk or hear.
- Required to reach, lift overhead, and below the waist.
- Duties require full range of motion.
- Will experience changes in temperature and humidity levels.
